The Clare Valley, located in South Australia’s Mid North region, is renowned for its stunning vineyards, exceptional wineries, and breathtaking landscapes. This picturesque area has seen a significant transformation thanks to the dedication of local volunteers who worked tirelessly to improve community infrastructure.
One major milestone was the Clare Oval Redevelopment Project. Efforts to update the outdated facilities began in 2013, and after years of lobbying and planning, the project finally received the support it needed to move forward in 2019. Situated just south of the Clare town centre, the sports precinct is a vibrant hub of activity, catering to a variety of sports and recreational needs.
The precinct hosts male and female teams for football, netball, cricket, basketball, and tennis. Additionally, it is complemented by the adjoining Valleys Lifestyle Centre, which offers facilities for squash, swimming, and a gym, making it a central part of the Clare community’s sporting and recreational life.
The newly completed hub serves as the home for the South Clair and North Clair Netball Clubs, South Clair and North Clair Football Clubs, and the Clare Combined Cricket Club. This vibrant facility also features a boutique events space, making it a versatile centre for both sports and community events.
Integrated Audio Solutions (IAS) was approached by Senior Project Architect Kristina Sogge from GP Architects to submit a technical proposal along with budgetary pricing guidelines in the early stages of redevelopment planning. Working closely with Kristina and Ryan Tregilgas, the project manager for the Clare Oval Redevelopment Committee, IAS prepared a comprehensive proposal and quotation.
The integration commenced under the guidelines of Loi Zanette, project manager for SJM Builders, the main contractors for the project. During the first fix construction phase, IAS conducted site visits to ensure that all A/V integration pre-wires were appropriately laid out and positioned. These tasks were carried out in collaboration with Pink Electrical, the chosen electrical contractor for the project.
The project’s phased approach ensured seamless communication and alignment between all stakeholders, allowing IAS to deliver a robust and efficient audio-visual integration solution tailored to the needs of the Clare Oval Redevelopment.
